 How to jailbreak iOS 5.1
The beautiful iOs 5.1.1 unlettered jailbreak is finally in our hands. Using Absinthe 2.0, you can
easily jailbreak your any iOS device running firmware version 5.1 in a couple of minutes. If
you are experiencing problems with Absinthe, here's how to jailbreak your device using
Sn0wbreeze.


Note: Sn0wbreeze cannot jailbreak A5 devices i,e iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. To jailbreak
these devices, you will have to use Absinthe. All other devices are supported by sn0wbreeze.
It will also preserve base band for iPhone unlocks.


Things you need:
iOS 5.1.1 IPSW file for your device.
Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4
Latest version of iTunes

Step 1: Connect your device with computer and run sn0wbreeze.
Step 2: Click the blue arrow at the bottom right corner to proceed. On the next screen, choose
Browse for iPSW and select the 5.1.iPSW file you downloaded earlier.

Step 3: Sn0wbreeze will now verify provided ipsw file. Once it sucessfully does, you will be
notified with the following message.

Step 4: Click the blue arrow to proceed. On the next screen, select Expert mode and then Build
IPSW.
Step 5:  will now create custom IPSW file. Wait till it finishes. After that, you
will be asked to put your iPhone in pwned DFU mode. Follow the on-screen instructions to do that.

Step 6: Custom 5.1.1 firmware would have been created on your desktop. Now open up iTunes. It
will detect your iPhone in recovery mode. SHIFT + click on Restore button and select the custom
created 5.1.1 file from the desktop.

That's it. iTunes will now restore your iPhone to jailbroken iOS .

USAGE: (MacOSX, Windows & Linux)

1. Make a backup of your device iTunes by right clicking on your device name under the 'Devices' menu and click 'Back Up'.
2. Once your backup is complete return to your device and go to Settings - General - Reset - Erase All Content and Settings. This will make the jailbreak process much faster.
3. Open Absinthe and be sure your are still connected via USB cable to your computer.
4. Click 'Jailbreak' and wait... just be patient and do not disconnect your device!
5. Once jail broken return to iTunes and restore your backup from earlier. To do so, right click on your device name under the 'Devices' menu in the left panel of iTunes and click 'Restore From Backup...' then select the latest backup you created before. (restoring this backup will return all the content previously on your device, i.e. apps, photos, etc.)
